This position requires familiarity with the USCENTCOM mission and the ability to work collaboratively on challenging assignments related to cybersecurity, defensive cyber operations, and operational planning.\nHOW A FUOPS PLANNER WILL Make an Impact:\nThe FUOPS Planner will play a critical role in supporting the J63 Plans and Exercises team, ensuring the effective implementation of cybersecurity orders, policies, procedures, and guidance across the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).\nResponsibilities:\nServe as a direct interface with military and government leadership within USCENTCOM and its Service Components, supporting J63 Plans and Exercises.\nFacilitate theater-wide collaboration on cybersecurity orders, policies, procedures, and guidance through meetings, VTCs, email, and other communication methods.\nDistribute and update cybersecurity orders, policies, and procedures to USCENTCOM Components.\nProvide cybersecurity support to USCENTCOM AOR Network Operations (NETOPS) Centers as required.\nInterpret, analyze, produce, and execute theater-wide cybersecurity orders, policies, procedures, and tactics.\nCoordinate and participate in cybersecurity risk analysis, assessments, and scoping missions.\nReview current intelligence for relevant threats and develop appropriate actions and responses.\nTrack compliance reporting for USCENTCOM orders and document cybersecurity policies and guidance.\nParticipate in mission assurance working groups and conduct mission assurance analysis for J6 networks and missions.\nPlan and coordinate defensive cyber operations for theater defensive cyber forces.\nAnalyze and recommend technology deployments to maximize defensive cyber operations effectiveness.\nDevelop technology strategies, including evaluations and decision points for J6 leadership.\nSupport the command exercise program by developing cyber inputs for exercises and writing cyber annexes to command orders.\nRepresent CCJ6 equities during Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), conferences, working groups, and contingency planning actions throughout the USCENTCOM AOR.\nSupport coalition interoperability, engagement activities, and cybersecurity cooperation.\nCoordinate with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technicians for planning and supporting CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN) requirements, operations, and expansion.\nAs needed, contribute to the design, planning, organization, and execution of Command Post Exercises, Staff Exercises, or Field Training Exercises at the Combatant Command or Service-Component level.\nAs needed, provide cybersecurity expertise and planning support in the development of exercise support plans for USCENTCOM exercises.\nRequired Skills:\nProven ability to plan, install, integrate, operate, and maintain complex tactical and garrison communications and IT systems within a large network enterprise.\nKnowledge of U.S. Department of Defense/War, Service, and Joint Task Force (JTF) communications policies and procedures.\nExperience in communications operations, planning, and intelligence.\nAbility to brief senior military and government leaders, including Partner Nations.\nSignificant experience with USCENTCOM operations, AOR, and staff work.\nAbility to function as a current and future operations action officer.\nExperience with Microsoft systems/applications and cybersecurity best practices.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nEducation and Certifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s Degree in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field with 8 years of experience, or 13 years of total experience in lieu of a degree.\nApplicable DoW 8140 or DoW 8570 Certification.\nActive TS/SCI Clearance\nDesired:\nExperience with briefing and delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders (U.S. and foreign).\nFamiliarity with information platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneBrief, PCTE, Joint Training Program, and/or Advana.\nExperience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission.\nKnowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM’s IT environment.\nMaster’s Degree in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nTravel Requirements:\nUp to 10% travel, including OCONUS locations, to support USCENTCOM exercises.\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE\nAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.\n· Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities\n· Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals\n· Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, competitive pay and paid time off\n· Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace\nThe likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
