This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining Information Protection capabilities for Department of Defense missions. This position is a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support at either Fort Meade, MD or Chantilly, VA.\nThe ideal candidate is a technical leader with expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Sensitivity Labeling, and Records Management. The engineer will work independently and collaboratively to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions.\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\nDesign, implement, document, and maintain enterprise information protection solutions.\nManage highly available and secure enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.\nDevelop and manage sensitivity labels, label policies, classification policies, auto-labeling policies, and protection configurations.\nImplement and maintain Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Microsoft 365 and supported endpoints.\nMonitor Purview policy effectiveness and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.\nDevelop and maintain PowerShell automation supporting Purview administration, configuration management, reporting, compliance operations, and troubleshooting.\nDevelop solutions using Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs to automate administrative and operational processes.\nCreate scripts and tooling for repeatable deployment and validation of information protection configurations.\nEvaluate, recommend, and implement third-party security information protection tools to expand upon native Microsoft Purview capabilities.\nParticipate in technical meetings with government customers, civilian personnel, and contractor teams.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT.
