You will play a crucial role in installing C5ISR systems that meet stringent operational and installation standards aboard US Naval vessels.\n· Lead, manage, and support engineering direction and guidance for design, development, integration and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding, field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of systems.\n· Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to drive system design and integration decisions that ensure interoperability and mission readiness for C5ISR systems.\n· Drive system-level outcomes by planning and executing rigorous systems testing, analyzing results, and resolving integration challenges in complex operational environments.\n· Utilize expert ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and Ship Installation Drawings (SID) to ensure compliant installation and interface alignment.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Mechanical Engineer Principal must have:\n· Education: Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.\n· Experience: 8+ years of related engineering experience. Of the minimum 8 years of experience required, at least 5 of those years must involve design, implementation, integration, systems testing, and interoperability studies related to C5ISR systems. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
