US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world challenges on a cross-functional, fast paced team.\nResponsibilities:\nProvides advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel\nIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves network incidents and problems.\nProvides network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.\nDetermines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.\nKnowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment associated with USBICES.\nParticipates in special projects as assigned.\nAnalyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks.\nManages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks\nMaintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.\nUtilizes IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.\nMaintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.\nParticipates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.\nInterfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.\nAssists with development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure..\nRequired Qualifications:\n10+ years of directly related experience in network engineering.\nBA/BS in related field, additional experience may substitute for degree\nMust possess and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility. \nThis position is deemed a DoW IA Workforce, IAT Level II position and requires 8570/8140 compliance. A candidate must meet the following requirements:CCNA Security. Higher certifications such as CCNP Security, or CISSP are acceptable. \n\nMust have comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.\nMust have comprehensive knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.\nMust have comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nJuniper route/switch knowledge is preferred.\nKnowledge and experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting type-1 encryptors.\nKnowledge and experience with CUCM and VOIP administration.\nThe likely salary range for this position is $108,800 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
