In this role, you will be responsible for leading and designing seamless networking solutions, deploying innovative technologies, and mentoring other team members, ensuring mission success.\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\nInstallation, configuration, and support of an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet, and Internet, as well as other data communication systems or specific segments of a network system.\nMaintaining network hardware and software for consistent and optimized performance.\nMonitoring networks to ensure availability for all system users and performing necessary maintenance to maximize uptime.\nCoordinating and implementing network security measures while leading and mentoring junior and mid-level network engineers.\nOverseeing the network control center and providing support to ongoing network-related projects.\nManaging the full spectrum of complex network designs that encompass multiple technologies within a single network.\nEvaluating new network technologies and making recommendations to project managers regarding their integration.\nPlanning network configurations for optimal performance and integration, taking into account system performance characteristics and network interface specifications.\nEnsuring adequate planning for hardware and communications facilities to support analysis, installation, and support of voice, video, and data communication systems.\nTranslating business requirements into telecommunications designs that include LAN, MAN, WAN, voice, and video solutions.\nDesigning and integrating new technologies into local and wide area networks, guiding users in formulating requirements, and leading feasibility studies.\nIncorporating and transitioning new network designs, developing architecture and design documentation, and providing advanced troubleshooting of complex network issues.\nInteracting with government stakeholders to address technical considerations and provide recommendations to resolve network-related problems.\nOverseeing the technical integrity of deliverables associated with network engineering while communicating effectively with program personnel, government representatives, and senior executives.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree preferred\n Experience: +12 years of related experience (may substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education)\nTechnical skills:Proven ability to mitigate risks, control costs, and manage large-scale, integrated projects effectively.\nReviewing and approving network engineering documentation to ensure processes and specifications meet user and network needs.\nCoordinating network integration activities among multiple teams to ensure full coverage of all interfaces, while capturing designs in a standard interface control format.\nExperience analyzing user requirements, high-level system architectures, and network performance indicators to develop appropriate network specifications.\n\n Certifications:DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification required prior to support on contract.\nIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Security+ or equivalent.\nRequired Computing Environment Certification: Minimum of CCNA at start, with CCNP to be obtained within 180 days of start date (preference for candidates with CCNP on Day 1).\n\nSecurity Clearance: TS/SCI required\n Role Requirements:On-site support at the customer location.\nWillingness to attain a CI Polygraph for specific positions as determined by the contract.\nPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity\nTravel may be required to support mission goals.\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE\nAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.\nGrowth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities\nSupport: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals\nRewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off\nCommunity: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace\nOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY\nExplore a career at GDITand you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your ambition to deliver your best work.\nThe likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
