The team supports engineering and operational tasks and performs real-time monitoring, proactive maintenance, incident detection and response, problem resolution, and network and firewall performance reporting across nationwide enterprise. This hybrid position offers a combination of remote work and periodic on-site support and customer meetings.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:\nProvide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. \nPlan, organize, and direct the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of CBP’s network infrastructure. \nMaintain, support, and optimize key functional areas, particularly network and firewall infrastructure, and telecommunications systems.\nManage and set priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless. \nManage and set priorities for the Network Management team. \nEnsure effective monitoring and response to hardware, software, and network problems.\nCoordinate and manage the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network and firewalls\nSchedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nBachelor's degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications or an additional 4 years of related experience is required. \n10+ years of related experience\nCurrent ITIL 4 or ITIL 5 Foundation Certification is required by the customer to be considered for this role. \nWorking knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure, and equipment (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers). \nExperience implementing and administering an enterprise-wide monitoring system for servers, networking devices, and applications. \nShowcase leadership abilities by managing projects and teams.\nProficiency in project managemen and have knowledge of security and compliance issues.\nU.S. Citizenship and a background investigation are required; you must have a current clean financial background. The role requires flexibility to support issues or planned activities after hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
