Our continued success on the HOM Program depends on a Senior Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) Database Administrator (DBA) joining our team to support our existing DBA team members in performing at the highest levels for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Financial Management Systems Group (FMSG).\nThe primary application that GDIT supports on the HOM Program is the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) which is a very large complex system with approximately 3,000 total users, processing an average of 4.5 million transactional claim records per day which equates to over 1.2 billion annually. There is an average of 46,000 new accounts receivable, and 168,000 payments processed per day along with 20,000 queries/reports run daily. Utilizing Oracle Federal Financials as the base application of HIGLAS, it provides CMS with a uniform financial management system to account for over $1 Trillion in outlays for healthcare each year across multiple lines of business.\nIn this role you will:\nSupport our mission critical production environments including our validation, test, and development environments.\nSupport mission critical production systems, to include being available as needed for off-hour deployments over nights and weekends; or to support on-call team members. \nSupport Oracle EBS 12.2.x Database 19c RAC and Data Guard Databases along with other applications and databases\nAutomate routine DBA tasks using Python, shell scripts, and Ansible.\nWork collaboratively with functional teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and external vendors.\nProvide solutions to improve system performance tuning/optimization.\nSupport capacity planning and forecasting\nProactively monitor and quickly address identified application or system issues\nClone, patch and upgrade the Oracle DB & eBusiness Suite (EBS)/HIGLAS\nBackup and restore the database and applications\nMaintain and support the synchronization of our production and disaster recovery (DR) environments\nSupport migrations of data and code to various environments\nWhat you’ll Need:\nBachelor’s degree in information technology or technical discipline\n8+ years’ experience supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) applications and environments (installation, configuration, upgrade, patching) in a R12.2.x environment with Database 19c.\nDeep understanding of Oracle databases, Exadata environments, RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery processes.\nExperience supporting middleware applications including Hyperion/EPM, ECC, BIAPPS/OBIEE, Tableau, SOA, Incorta, and analytics platforms.\nExperience with managing enterprise identity solutions including Oracle OAM, OID, and OIG is a plus\nExperience in designing, developing, and testing updates and new enhancements within RDBMS and Oracle DB concepts.\nCapacity planning and High Availability (HA) configuration with DR setup and configuration experience\nAbility to diagnose complex production issues under pressure and lead cross-functional incident response.\nExcellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience in large-scale enterprise environments supporting mission-critical financial or ERP systems.\nKnowledge and expertise in Shell, Perl scripting and/or Python, Ansible scripting\nStrong experience of Exadata Engineered Systems\nKnowledge of Oracle cloud will be a plus\nAttributes for Success:\nConsultative and proactive Mindset for solving problems and presenting solutions to our team and our customers\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nBeing a Team Player, including flexibility to support others when needed\nLOCATION: Remote\nCLEARANCE:\nAbility to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years and pass a public trust background investigation.\nWHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU:\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\nThe likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $175,375.
