Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), a scientific organization working to support Agency decisions by providing solutions-driven research to rapidly evaluate the potential human health and environmental risks due to exposures to environmental chemicals and ensure the integrity of the freshwater environment and its capacity to support human well-being.\nThe selected candidate will interface with the EPA Product Team and developers and will be responsible for but not limited to installation, capacity planning, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, administration & management of user accounts, troubleshooting, disaster recovery as well as backup and data recovery to ensure the availability and consistent performance of OCSPP’s software and applications.\nThe selected candidate for this role must have a high degree of attention to detail as well as a collaborative and solution-oriented working style.\nDescription of Function:\nInstall, configure, administer, manage, and document MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL (MongoDB) in a Cluster/Master with Replicas configuration across several nodes using HAProxy for load balancing, failover, and high availability across environments already procured by CCTE\nIndependently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time-including troubleshooting PL/SQL, stored procedures, and Oracle database packages-providing end-to-end problem resolution\nAdvise Division management officials regarding integration of IT programs with other programs of equivalent scope and complexity.
