This is NOT a role that can be trusted to be performed in a remote capacity, must be ON SITE.\n\nPerson, we seek must have a solid Information Technology foundation.\n\nPanama Shift Schedule | 24/7 Shift Coverage.\n\nPanama Shift is a rotating shift pattern that uses multiple teams and two 2-hr shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. The working and non-working days typically follow this pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. Each team may work the same shift (day or night) for 2-3 months then switches over to the other shift for the next 2-3 months. The rotation helps ensure equity regards to work life balance for all members of team.\n\nOther duties include:\nMonitoring, recognition, evaluation, and correction of IT systems, network, and satellite ground stations.\n\nInterfacing with the user community, Mission Directors, System Administrators, Network Engineers, external sites, and other system operators as required for real-time detection, isolation, and resolution of problems.\n\n24/7/365 Operational Support to customers and users in the field\n\nUtilize SolarWinds, Splunk, WireShark (and other monitoring tools) to monitor internal and external hardware, software, network connectivity, status IT infrastructure (utilizing ping, SNMP traps, customer scripts) - and utilizing established TTP's to respond to issues\n\nProvide support to Networking team, including Layer 1/2/3 type activities and documentation/design.\n\nPerform analysis (in both real-time and post-event) on key mission capabilities and provide feedback to internal and external customers.\n\nMaintain a positive, professional, and helpful working relationship with our customers.\n\nPerform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly functional checks on systems and capabilities, also perform inspections on critical hardware and infrastructure.\n\nProvide support to the Engineering staff for testing and validation of new software releases and network connections.\n\nSupport Configuration Management functions (Incidents, Assets) utilizing BMC Remedy.\n\nRespond to customer voice and electronic support requests.\n\nRespond to real time, mission critical situations (response defined in minutes).\n\nParticipate in internal and external scheduled exercises.\n\nCreate, maintain, and update SOP/TTP documentation\n\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of directly related experience in IT / Network administration and support.\n\nTS/SCI or DoE Q Clearance\n\nExperience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or WireShark.\n\nHave a working knowledge of critical physical infrastructure (including HVAC, Power, UPS, etc.) that is utilized to support mission operations\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with Linux and Windows system administration and networking background is preferable.\n\nRequired Education/Certifications\nDoD 8570 Compliant Certifications are required\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\nOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY\nExplore a career in intelligence at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your passion for securing the mission.\nThe likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385.
