An attention to detail and correct usage of formatting, grammar, and spelling is a must. This position also requires a strong ability to learn quickly and understand technical language and terminology around the products and systems being supported. The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a team environment and be flexible around evolving needs while managing both schedule and overall commitments in order to meet project deliverables.\nIn this role, a typical day will include:\nResearching and compiling technical data for use in various operations and maintenance manuals, training materials, system design documents, and other technical documentation.\nResearching and gathering technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables.\nDeveloping and maintaining SOPs, operational procedures, training materials, committee documentation, meeting summaries, case reports, and compliance artifacts to support audit readiness and program operations.\nDeveloping outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and stakeholders ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations. \nTranslating technical information into clear, readable documentation to be used by both technical and non-technical users. Documentation includes: technical documents, business proposals, memos, reports, user manuals, knowledge base articles, status reporting, briefings and presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, special reports, and other project deliverables to meet contract requirements.\nOrganizing and maintaining documents in a documentation repository.\nProofreading and providing feedback on materials prepared by peers.\nMaintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. \nMay involve some supervisory/task lead responsibilities.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.\n5+ years of related experience preparing technical documentation.\nExcellent writing/editing skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office suite.\nExperience with Confluence.\nProficiency with SharePoint and version control procedures.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nFamiliarity with remediation of technical documentation to comply with accessibility standards such as 508 compliance.\nFamiliarity with Agile approaches such as Scrum and SAFe are highly desired.\nExperience with Power Apps/Power Automate preferred.\nExperience/background within the healthcare industry and/or government contracting is desirable.\nATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:\nDemonstration of strong organizational and analytical skills.\nMust be a team player who is self-motivated and takes initiative.\nStrong attention to quality and detail.\nDependable and accountable in delivering high-quality and timely documentation.\nIdentifying areas of improvement to enhance program efficiency/quality.\nProviding guidance to less experienced staff members.\nAbility to work independently and productively with limited supervision.\nLOCATION: Remote\nCLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States for at least three (3) out of the past five (5) years and pass a public trust background investigation.\nWork visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\nThe likely salary range for this position is $73,965 - $95,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
