This role supports mission-critical health IT operations and modernization efforts, guiding the design, integration, performance, and security of enterprise EHR services.\nAs an Sr. Solutions Director, you will act as the highest-level engineering consultant to program leadership and customer stakeholders. You will define and orchestrate technical strategy, drive innovation, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure systems meet reliability, interoperability, and compliance requirements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nServe as the senior technical authority for engineering, integration, and architecture across the EHR service portfolio and/or EHR customers.\nDevelop and maintain enterprise-level engineering strategy, roadmaps, and modernization plans.\nLead technical reviews, architectural governance, and engineering decision-making for major initiatives.\nIn coordination with customer-side engineering leadership, define the engineering process and gates for the program.\nDrive and mentor systems engineering rigor across the program for new deployments, capabilities, enhancements and change.\nProvide engineering oversight of EHR platforms, including workflows, infrastructure, cloud services, interfaces, and data exchange.\nEnsure the environment meets standards for availability, performance, scalability, and cybersecurity.\nDirect root-cause analysis for critical incidents and drive implementation of long-term corrective actions.\nAssess emerging technologies and recommend strategic enhancements aligned with mission and program goals.\nCollaborate with product owners, system integrators, cybersecurity teams, and operations leads to resolve complex technical challenges.\nMentor engineering teams and provide guidance to support workforce development and technical excellence.\nSupport proposal development, technical briefings, program reviews, and customer engagements.\nManages a team of technical resources\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field\n10+ years of experience in enterprise health IT, EHR systems, or complex systems engineering.\nDemonstrated experience supporting major commercial EHR platforms (Cerner/Oracle Health, Epic, etc.) required.\nExpertise in system architecture, cloud engineering, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), and infrastructure modernization.\nExperience leading engineering strategy in large, regulated, mission-focused environments.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.\nMust be able to travel up to 25%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree preferred.\nExperience with federal healthcare agencies (VA, DoW, DHA, CMS, etc.).\nPrior experience as a chief engineer on a large-scale EHR deployment.\nRelevant certifications: AWS/Azure Architect, ITIL, CPHIMS, CISSP, PMP, or equivalent.\nFamiliarity with GDIT engineering frameworks, governance processes, and lifecycle methodologies.\nStrong analytical, communication, and technical advisory skills.\nThe likely salary range for this position is $195,874 - $241,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
