Our work depends on the Systems Engineer, Senior, joining our team to manage and monitor all installed Information Technology Systems and infrastructure, as well as install, configure, test and perform routine maintenance on operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.\nPerforms administrative operation and maintenance functions of server hardware and software. Maintains system security and executes common practices and procedures. Monitors usage statistics and logs. Maintains baseline configurations and performs modification of configuration settings-institutes troubleshooting and incident response procedures. Troubleshoots system-related problems. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.\nRecommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system. Develop and maintain documentation on new and existing systems. See below some of the other responsbilities and duties for this role.\nHOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:\nFunction as the Site Lead for all IT professionals at location\nPerform management functions at geographically separated location\nHas full technical knowledge of all phases of systems engineering\nAnalyzes complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problems\nGuides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans\nDevelops technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation\nEvaluates, develops, and delivers technical input to the systems engineering process\nValidates the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility\nExcellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through\nDetail oriented and organized and must be able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems engineering\nExperience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems and must be able to design and deliver solutions\nExperience with configuration and deployment technologies such as Ansible\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nEducation: BA/BS in Information Technology related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.\nRequired Experience: 10+ years of related experience\nExperience with RedHat Linux based server operating systems, and OpenShift technology\nExperience with Windows based server operating systems, SQL, SCCM, and Active Directory \nExperience with configuration and deployment technologies such as Ansible\nExperience with SANs, NetApp preferred \nCertification Requirements: DoD 8570.01 certification required - CompTIA Security+ CE cert. or higher\nSECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have fully adjudicated TS/SCI clearance (Required)\nLOCATION: Must be able to work on the customer Site in Tampa FL. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
