This role includes technical administration, cybersecurity compliance using tools like the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and standards from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and enterprise-level IT support for Ramstein AB and its geographically separated units (GSUs).\nYou will help manage Windows servers, server applications, and eTools to ensure they remain secure, compliant, and available to support the mission of aircraft sortie generation and maintenance operations across the 521 AMOW enterprise.\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\nAs a Systems Administrator, you will directly impact the mission of the United States Mobility Air Forces. You will join a dedicated team of skilled administrators and report to the LOGNET site lead, working collaboratively to ensure mission success.\nDuties include, but are not limited to:\nServer Administration\nPerform technical administration, configuration, and monitoring of logistics Windows application servers and SQL databases.\nPlan, operate, and maintain backup and recovery solutions for servers, databases, and eTools in accordance with USAF and Department of War guidance.\nCybersecurity, Compliance, and Hardening\nConduct ACAS reviews and remediation on managed systems; analyze results, execute remediation, and track vulnerabilities to maintain compliance.\nImplement and maintain system baselines in accordance with DISA STIGs and applicable USAF secure configuration standards.\nSupport the implementation of network security policies, working with base communications squadrons and Cybersecurity Offices.\nEnd User & eTools Support\nProvide end-user support for eTools (mobile devices, laptops, workstations) and logistics system access.\nManage software installation, operating system imaging, upgrades, and patching on Windows servers and clients.\nManage the installation and maintenance of eTools, cabinets, switches, and peripheral connections.\nAdvise on software/hardware utilization and diagnose performance issues, both on-site and at remote units.\nWireless LAN & Site Support\nManage and execute Wireless LAN (WLAN) data gathering and reporting for logistics and sortie generation activities.\nConduct trips to 521 AMOW units (e.g., Spangdahlem AB, Rota NAS, Incirlik AB) for on-site installations, troubleshooting, WLAN surveys, and system validation.\nAsset Management & Procurement\nTrack and manage equipment designated by Air Mobility Command (AMC) in accordance with all applicable instructions and policies.\nManage eTool laptop cabinets, consumables, and peripherals.\nTrack procurement actions, manage acceptance documentation, and oversee warranty processes.\nTrouble Tickets & Documentation\nManage and document trouble tickets in U.S. government systems, detailing problem descriptions, actions taken, and resolutions.\nProvide work guidance and technical consulting on complex LOGNET-related projects.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
