When we succeed, you succeed and together our best becomes better.\nHow a Systems Engineer Will Make an Impact:\nManage and monitor all infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance\n\nImplement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy\n\nIdentify potential issues and implement solutions proactively\n\nCraft custom scripts that reduce the need for human interaction\n\nEnable faster and smarter business processes and develop meaningful analytics\n\nEngage regularly with upper management, providing reports on project status, activities, and achievements\n\nCreate and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.\n\nEnsure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.\n\nCoordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.\n\nMonitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.\n\nProvide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.\n\nGather high level requirements and translate them into consumable tasks for System Engineers\n\nEnsure mission critical applications are highly available under adverse conditions\n\nPromote modern methodologies to increase efficiency and consistency\n\nContribute and be an advocate for long-term technical vision\n\nApply awareness of existing tools and capabilities during the evaluation of new tools\n\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nEducation: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education.\n\nRequired Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ related technical experience to include the following:\nDeveloping methods for deploying development environments that mirror production environments for risk mitigation in test and evaluation of software and hardware solutions.\n\nTroubleshooting complex system hardware and software issues\n\nPractical use of DevOps and/or DevSecOps, and/or GitOps methodologies\n\nSolid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, ICMP, SSH and SNMP\n\nSolid knowledge of Networking, VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and addressing schemes\n\nSkilled in system administration tasks such as file system, network, and account troubleshooting\n\nKnowledge of repository management practices, patch administration, and vulnerability remediation\n\nThorough technical documentation including diagrams\n\nSuccessful implementation of new technology in complex environments\n\nUtilization of centralized log management and analysis tools\n\nImplementation of zero-trust practices across the whole stack\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match\n\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\n\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\n\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\n\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\n\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\n\nThe likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
