This position offers the opportunity to lead a team of engineers in designing, building and implementing a secure private cloud platform tailored to the customer's unique operational needs.\nHOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT\nThe Systems Platform Architect will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and administrators in developing and executing a comprehensive cloud smart strategy focused on establishing a robust and resilient hybrid cloud environment for a SOCOM customer. This role involves defining the architecture., security posture and operational processes for the SOCOM customer private cloud, as well as overseeing application migration efforts and ensuring alignment with DoW regulations for handling classified information.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nEducation:\nBachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science\nRequired Experience:\n7+ years of related experience\nRequired Technical Skills:\nExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration and Windows Server platforms (2016/2019/2022) \nExperience with PowerShell Scripting and systems automation \nExperience performing troubleshooting for technicians and/or end users utilizing Service Now ticketing system. \nStrong experience with server virtualization (VMWare and/or Microsoft Hyper-V) \nParticipate in project planning and management, providing technical guidance and expertise as needed.\nSecurity Clearance Level:\nTS/SCI\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionally. \nCompetent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities. \nexcellent communication and briefing skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through. \nExperience in creating effective technical documentation. \nDetail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work. \nPreferred Skills:\nProven track record of leading teams of engineers and architects in delivering complex cloud projects, specifically within private cloud environments.\nDeep expertise in private cloud architectures, virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare vSphere, KVM), and cloud management platforms.\nExtensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture as applicable to private cloud deployments.\nStrong understanding of security protocols, and standards relevant to DoW environments (NIST, STIGs, CMMC) specifically for private cloud implementations.\nProficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and object-oriented programming languages (Java, Go).\nExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.\nLocation:\nOn Customer Site\nCitizenship Required\nUS Citizenship Required\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career.\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\nThe likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $143,750.
