Join GDIT as a Systems Engineer Senior and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you.\nMeaningful work and Personal Impact\nAs a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission to provide sustaining engineering and product lifecycle management support for multiple Force Protection System (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) to the IBD-SS II program.\nYou will play a crucial role in execute planning, design, and implementation of system engineering projects, by providing clear technical direction to team members and have breadth of knowledge as it pertains to systems integration and design.\nThe ability to work hand in hand with test engineers and technical writers in developing engineering test plans with the commanding knowledge of engineering processes, standards and workflows and will work closely with the Configuration Manager to ensure all system’s product baselines are maintained.\nAs the Sustainment Engineer you will be responsible for reviewing existing Urgent Capability Acquisition (UCA) programs and providing solutions to issues usually related to sustainment engineering, including investigating root causes of errors or failures, identifying alternatives for end-of-life components, and creating and maintaining documentation\nCollaborate with IBD-SS team members from engineering, training, logistics, and operational support as well as government customers, to facilitate operational improvements and provide reach-back support to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation distribution, sparing, and system health reports\nDrive key outcomes by assisting in the analysis of failed products to improve sustainment support through viable solutions to include but not limited too\nReview baseline designs for errors and failure points.\nExecute Level of Repair Analysis for systems end to end.\nDevelop Engineering BOMs from Technical Data Packages\nAttend Engineering Review Boards for engineering change requests and prepare documents for CCB\nBrief Engineering Change Proposals to CCB\nDevelopment of engineering test plans and reports\nAddress obsolescence issues and concerns working in conjunction with the IBD-SS logistics team\nInterface with other engineers, SMEs, and technicians to solve equipment malfunctions and design flaws\nManage the full life cycle of systems with a focus on sustainment engineering.\nSupport existing systems by researching, reviewing design, assisting procurement, cataloging, installing, and conducting maintenance of FP Systems.\nWhat you will need to succeed:\nBring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
