Be the change, lead our change - join us!\nHOW A TEST ENGINEER SUPPORT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT\nWork with a team of systems engineers and software developers to specify, design, develop, test and deploy the end-state system. Development will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques with inputs from multiple stakeholders. The work will be done in a dynamic stakeholder environment within AWS. Communicate with team leads and senior leadership and rapidly adjust direction in support of new and/or changing requirements. This effort will include a variety of activities, including:\nAutomated and manual software testing\nDeveloping test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.\nIdentifying new test scenarios and create detailed test cases to cover all aspects of the software.\nPerforming functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing as necessary.\nDocumenting defects and track them to resolution.\nWorking closely with team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues\nTest Data Creation\nFamiliar with the creation and updating of various file formats (e.g. XML, JSON, CSV, Microsoft Excel)\nProgramming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL) commonly used for data manipulation and generation.\nScripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) commonly used to automate routine tasks.\nWorking with databases and SQL for querying, inserting, and updating data as part of the generation process.\nAssessing quality and validity of generated data.\nAddressing challenges in data generation, such as generating data in formats suitable for specific applications.\nDocumenting data generation processes, including parameters used, assumptions made, and transformations applied.\nWorking with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, JMeter) to validate web-based applications.\nUsing Zephyr for test management\nWorking with automation frameworks (e.g. JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, Protractor, PyTest) to test custom applications.\nUnderstanding how to test headless applications using application programming interfaces (e.g. REST).\nDebugging automated test scripts and understand application logs and error messages to pinpoint issues.\nWorking with large and small teams of software developers as part of an Agile process.\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g. GitHub, GitLab) for managing code and collaborating with other team members.\nWorking with CI/CD products (e.g. Jenkins, AWS Pipeline, DevOps) and integrating automated tests into the CI/CD process.\nWorking within cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS)\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\n Education: Bachelors Degree (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline)\nRequired Experience: 6+ yrs\nRequired Technical skills:\nKnowledge of testing and automated testing approaches\nDesired Skills:\nKnowledge of testing in a cloud architecture\nWillingness and ability to stay updated with advancements in software testing, data creation techniques, tools, and best practices.\nSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph\nLocation: Bethesda, MD - On Customer Site\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match.\nComprehensive health and wellness packages.\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career.\nProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications.\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from.\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays.\n#VA_2026Alumni\nThe likely salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
