Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:\nAs an electrical engineer for the GDMS Space, Cyber & Intelligence Systems (SC&I) Engineering Support Group,you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing EMI/EMC, EME, and TEMPEST support to a multitude of programs. As a member of the GDMS EMC/TEMPEST Group the candidate will perform design, analysis and testing tasks for a wide variety of Space hardware and systems, Secure Network and Voice Products, Tactical Communications Systems, and ruggedized communications and computer equipment for military applications.\nWe encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:\nStrong background in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) including Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC).\nExperience in providing EMI/EMC design support for compliance with Military and Space standards.\nParticipating in design reviews and providing detailed design guidance on filters, RF shielding, EMI gaskets, transient protection needs, and cable design/shielding.\nTransient protection for electromagnetic threats including HEMP, Lightning, electrostatic discharge and recommending transient protection devices.\n Experience with Electromagnetic Simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS and EMC Plus in support of EMI/EMC design and analyses. \nExperience generating EMI/EMC Control Plans, Test Plan/Procedures, and Test Reports.\nHands on experience in performing EMI/EMC testing in accordance with all versions of MIL-STD-461 and use of NEXIO BAT-EMC, EMC32, or TILE! software.\nTroubleshooting hardware problems and recommending cost effective solutions with minimal design impact.\nExperience with TEMPEST and RED/BLACK isolation design is also desirable. \nWhat sets you apart:\nProficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design\nHabitually ahead of technology trends, with background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics\nMotivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design\nResearch & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing\nCollaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nOur Commitment to You:\nAn exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. \nResearch oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security\nFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)\nCompetitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more\nSee more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits\nWorkplace Options:\nThis position is 100% on-site.While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS EMC/TEMPEST Engineering Group at the GDMS Scottsdale Facility.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
