This position focuses on system installation, software integration, technical troubleshooting, and operational support across complex hardware and software environments. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on technical experience, strong diagnostic reasoning, and the ability to independently support laboratory and remotely deployed systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nIndependently lead assigned system installations, software integration activities, and troubleshooting efforts, coordinating additional technical support as needed.\nDiagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, virtualization, and configuration issues through systematic troubleshooting, log analysis, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.\nInstall, configure, test, maintain, and support complex systems, including software deliveries, system updates, and verification of corrective actions.\nStrong analytical and diagnostic skills, with demonstrated ability to independently investigate, isolate, and resolve complex technical problems.\nSupport integration and system testing activities, including verification of software fixes, regression testing, and evaluation of system functionality and stability.\nResearch technical documentation, system configurations, and component interactions to identify problems, recommend corrective actions, and support issue resolution.\nCoordinate with software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking, and test teams to investigate technical issues and implement solutions.\nEffective technical communication, documentation, and coordination skills, including the ability to provide technical guidance to customers and engineering teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong technical competence in complex hardware and software systems, including installation, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.\nExtensive hands-on experience supporting Linux-based systems, including system administration, service management, log analysis, and troubleshooting.\nStrong analytical and diagnostic skills with demonstrated ability to independently isolate and resolve complex technical problems.\nWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals, virtualization technologies, and system interfaces.\nExperience supporting software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting in laboratory or operational environments.\nAbility to quickly learn and apply unfamiliar technologies, research technical issues, and develop effective corrective actions.\nEffective technical communication, documentation, and coordination skills, including the ability to provide technical guidance to customers and engineering teams.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware, KVM, or other virtualization technologies.\nFamiliarity with Ansible, Bash, Python, or other scripting and automation tools.\nExperience with Red Hat High Availability technologies, including Pacemaker, PCS, and DRBD.\nExperience providing remote technical support to deployed systems and coordinating site installation activities.\nFamiliarity with network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, and connectivity analysis.\nExperience supporting system integration, verification testing, configuration management, and technical documentation.\nFamiliarity with system monitoring tools, DevOps practices, and automated deployment technologies.\nWhat Sets You Apart\nExceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic reasoning across interconnected hardware and software systems.\nDemonstrated ability to independently manage complex installation and technical support efforts.\nStrong practical understanding of system operations, dependencies, and failure conditions.\nAbility to communicate technical findings, guide troubleshooting activities, and coordinate effective resolutions across engineering disciplines.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
