Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nOverview: A Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual agreements between the company and its customers. This role involves drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. The Contracts Manager also serves as a liaison between the company's legal team, program managers, and customers, and is responsible for identifying and mitigating any contract-related risks. Additionally, this role requires a strong understanding of contract law, regulations, and procedures. The Contracts Manager plays a critical role in protecting the company's interests while ensuring customer satisfaction.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdvises leadership and other functions on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.\nEnsures compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.\nSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the effective operation of the function.\nAssists with the development of subcontract statements of work and flow-down of mandatory or neces-sary/prudent terms and conditions from a business and contract perspective.\nDelegates assignments to others for developing solutions to a variety of complex and difficult problems.\nManages work, sets objectives, and meets commitments for self and others.\nReviews and coordinates approvals of contract or subcontract documents for protection of the company's contractual position, satisfaction of customer specifications and requirements, and adherence to company pol-icy.\nActs as a primary point of contact with other departments for resolution of problems regarding contracts or subcontracts.\nActs as the primary interface with customers or subcontractors, including fact-finding, audits, and formal con-tract or subcontract negotiations.\nConducts negotiations, reviews, and management of contracts or subcontracts.\nManages the contract or subcontract change process and works with Program Management, Engineering, Fi-nance, and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk.\nSupports proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and company policies and procedures.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nDetailed knowledge of contracting, including federal procurement laws and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).\nVery strong knowledge of contract laws and regulations, including FAR and DFARS.\nVery strong knowledge of customer or subcontractor communities and business environment.\nVery strong decision-making ability, negotiation skills, and leadership competencies.\nVery strong self-motivation and the ability to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business im-portance.\nPracticed adeptness in all areas of contracts administration.\nAbility to think and plan strategically and be proactive with the contracts or subcontracts needs of the busi-ness.\nVery strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) to support effective communications and business needs.\nVery strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all lev-els.\nCollaborates and works well cross-functionally throughout the business.\nDirects oversight of a contracts or subcontracts team of moderate size and complexity.\nManages work, sets objectives, and meets commitments, demonstrating strong team player capabilities.\nSelects, manages, and retains personnel effectively.\nDemonstrates significant decision-making ability, negotiation skills, and proven leadership competencies.\nDemonstrates exemplary skills and functions at a level beyond the requirements of the position.\nDemonstrates significant self-motivation and the ability to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business importance.\nDemonstrates the ability to think and plan strategically and be proactive with the contracts or subcontracts needs of the business.\nPossesses very strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with person-nel at all levels.\nWorkplace Options:\nThe position is 100% onsite or Hybrid, will need to report to office weekly.
