Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nInformation Assurance EngineerJoin the team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where we protect what matters most.\nWhat You’ll Experience\nBuild and maintain security artifacts like Risk Management Framework (RMF) security plans, testing plans, and System Impact Analyses to ensure compliance, readiness, and legitimate security of government systems.\nConduct security tests and vulnerability scans using both manual and automated methods to identify and address risks.\nCollaborate with Development and Test teams to integrate and verify security requirements in cutting-edge cloud-native DevSecOps environments.\nLead and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events, ensuring systems meet critical security standards.\nWork on-site at customer facility in Boulder Colorado, Buckley Air Force Base or remotely from home (3-5 days/week on site), driving hands-on impact.\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF, STIGs, and the Assessment and Authorization process.\nStrong understanding of Linux, Windows, and cloud-native technologies (FedRAMP experience is a plus).\nA proactive security mindset with the ability to identify and challenge system behaviors that deviate from security principles.\nExceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly.\nActive Secret (required).\nWhat Sets You Apart\nExperience thriving in Agile teams, prioritizing and managing tasks effectively.\nDemonstrated ability to lead security workgroups and collaborate directly with customers and senior stakeholders.\nA creative problem-solver with a knack for multi-tasking and driving innovative solutions.\nHands-on expertise with security design, systems engineering principles, and Microsoft Office tools.\nPassionate about embedding security into every phase of system development.\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
