Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:\nAs a Lead ASIC verification engineer for the Bitttercloud II program at Idaho Scientific a business segment within General Dynamics Mission Systems, you’ll support a cross functional team responsible for designing and architecting advanced embedded security technologies that protect U.S. defense systems from cyber exploitation, physical attacks, reverse engineering, and supply-chain compromise. Employees deliver secure processors, anti-tamper architectures, cryptographic IP, and integrated firmware/software solutions designed to meet stringent government cybersecurity and survivability requirements. anti-tamper and physical HW security produts.\nWe encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:\nResponsibilities for This Position\nDuties and Tasks\nLeads ASIC verification at the block, subsystem, and full-chip levels.\nDevelops verification plans, schedules, coverage goals, and completion criteria.\nBuilds reusable SystemVerilog/UVM test environments and verification components.\nMaintains traceability from requirements through test results and defect closure.\nPlans and executes simulation, regression, formal verification, and emulation activities.\nDrives coverage and regression results to predetermined completion goals.\nLeads failure investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action verification.\nVerifies third-party and custom IP for functional and integration compliance.\nProvides feedback to design and architecture teams on issues that affect verification.\nIdentifies verification risks and develops practical mitigation plans.\nPresents verification status, evidence, risks, and recommendations at technical reviews.\nProduces clear, accurate verification plans, procedures, and reports.\nImproves verification processes, automation, metrics, and reusable assets.\nProvides technical direction and mentoring to verification engineers.\nSupports vendor oversight, proposals, estimates, and program planning as needed.\nUses approved AI-enabled tools where they provide clear engineering value and protect sensitive information.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of ASIC and SoC verification processes.\nStrong proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, assertions, coverage, and regression testing.\nExperience developing reusable testbench components and register models.\nStrong understanding of RTL, digital logic, interfaces, clocks, and resets.\nAbility to convert requirements into measurable verification objectives and tests.\nExperience debugging simulations and determining root causes.\nExperience with scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Bash, and Python.\nExperience with ASIC simulation and debug tools such as VCS, Verdi, Questa, or equivalent tools.\nExperience with Linux, version control, and automated regression environments.\nAbility to communicate technical results clearly to varied audiences.\nAbility to lead multiple activities while maintaining quality and schedule.\nStrong technical judgment, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with formal verification, CDC/RDC analysis, or low-power verification.\nExperience with emulation, silicon bring-up, or post-silicon validation.\nExperience verifying third-party IP and complex interfaces.\nExperience working in an Agile development environment.\nExperience with vendor oversight, proposals, estimates, or program controls.\nExpected Performance Outcomes\nSuccessful performance in this role is demonstrated by:\nVerification plans and requirements traceability are complete and current.\nResults provide credible evidence that design requirements are met.\nCoverage, regression, and defect goals are achieved or have approved exceptions.\nCritical failures and risks are identified early and resolved on schedule.\nTechnical reviews receive clear, accurate, and timely information.\nVerification methods and automation improve program execution over time.\nTechnical leadership supports successful completion of program milestones.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
