Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nOverview:The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines. They apply principles of engineering, physics, and materials science to create mechanical solutions that are safe, efficient, and reliable.\nKey Responsibilities:• Completes feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.• Performs product design and development leveraging core mechanical knowledge in Computer-Aided Design, thermal, structural, and dynamic analysis.• Prepares detailed designs, design testing, and prototype fabrication.• Collaborates with cross-functional domains including Other Engineering Disciplines, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.• Completes assigned engineering tasks or projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.• Works on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.• Builds stable working relationships internally.• Provides design information for detailing packaging documentation.• Begins participating in the proposal process.• Identifies technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans.\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.\n\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
