We provide premium systems, services, and products for the Department of Defense, government agencies and commercial clients.\nSeeking a Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of the engineering team in the Sonar and Electronic Warfare business area.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDesign and analyze components and electro-mechanical assemblies\nPerform thermal, structural and dynamic analyses on complex 3D models\nCreate and maintain mechanical solid models and drawings\nCreate and manage bills of material (BOM) within data management system\nDevelop fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts\nGenerate design and interface documentation\nPerform product design, studies, development and testing on new and modified designs\nDevelop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer\nParticipate in various technical and program meetings as needed\nWhat sets you apart:\nStrong proficiency with Creo or SolidWorks modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings\nExtensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards\nExperience with ruggedized electronics packaging for shipboard applications a plus\nExperience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) a plus\nCollaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects\nStrong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals\nCommitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others\nWorkplace Options: This position is fully on-site.While on-site, you will be a part of the Manassas, VA facility.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
