Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nREPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:\nApply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country. GDMS has an immediate opening for a Logistics Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.\nThe selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. In addition to receiving a competitive wage, the Engineering Intern will enhance their skill set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. Interns will also enjoy a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with the engineering teams in design review meetings to provide reliability and maintainability findings and recommendations.\nAssists in the generation of formal technical reports by Government standards in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements.\nSupport generation of reliability and maintainability mathematical models and predictions.\nParticipating in a Failure Review Board (FRB) as a team member.\nParticipate in a FRACAS program as a team member.\nTrack and support material purchase requests, hardware and software shipment requests and kit builds.\nUpdate material tracking records and support material/tracking meetings\nSupport Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) deliveries and peer reviews.\nSupport Logistics Product Data (LPD development) by helping to identify data points relevant to our current phase of development.\nAssist with populating data and overseeing data collection.\nAssist with providing progress updates at team meetings.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood proficiency in reliability engineering methodologies and tools.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nAbility to learn industry standards and regulations.\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to learn Reliability and FRACAS tool sets and models.\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
