Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer 3 to lead complex systems engineering efforts with a strong emphasis on personal and environmental safety. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, safety engineering knowledge, and a proven ability to deliver innovative, safety-compliant solutions in support of mission-critical defense programs.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead systems engineering activities with a focus on safety requirements, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation across the full system lifecycle\nDevelop and maintain Safety Management Plans, hazard analyses, and environmental impact assessments\nEnsure compliance with DoD safety standards and regulations\nIntegrate personal and environmental safety requirements into system architectures and designs\nConduct and support Safety Reviews, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and System Safety Working Groups (SSWG)\nCollaborate with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) teams to ensure regulatory compliance\nMentor junior engineers on safety engineering best practices\nSupport proposals, design reviews, and customer interactions related to safety requirements\nQualifications\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field\nExperience: 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated focus on safety engineering\nClearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred\n Candidate must be local to the area and able to work onsite in the Pittsfield, MA office.
