Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:\nThe Senior Software Engineer - Submarine Combat Systems, will be responsible for forward-looking development of software and infrastructure architecture deployable into a Linux-based Common Computing Environment (CCE) PaaS. The candidate will also be responsible for improving the software and infrastructure build process along with setup and configuration of hardware/software test environments, managing and coordinating external communications, and team leadership.\nEssential Capabilities (Required):\nSuccess architecting infrastructure within the SWFTS environment, engaging and coordinating with key stakeholders\nExperience integrating containerized software applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime\nAdvanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software, infrastructure, and systems-level problems, including on products not developed by your team or contract\nExperience with automated testing for deploying and managing custom containerized applications and open-source tools and components.\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles in the development of prototype and production software products\nDesired Capabilities:\nExperience with Ansible IaC, Java Spring Boot, Python, Kubernetes\nExperience generating Docker container files from scratch\nExperience with Bash scripting\nPrevious or current leadership role(s) within an integrated product team structure\nUnderstanding of cluster networking and design capabilities\nIn-depth experience of two or more from the below list:\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs\nExperience with Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).\nWorkplace Options: This position is flex on-site.
