Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nDuties and Tasks:\nHandles personnel issues within area of responsibility including merit planning, goal setting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions\nPerform Development and long-term career planning for personnel to meet career goals and future program success\nSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function\nServes as engineering resource manager to staff, deconflict, hire or otherwise identify staffing resources to support programs within area of responsibility\nDirects, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering efforts within area of responsibility\nOverall responsibility for the engineering aspects of a technical domain, to include the acquisition of critical resourcesCapable of identifying project risks, assessing issues and developing resolutions that meet cost, schedule productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectivesReview’s status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reportsDevelops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholdersServes as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line managementParticipates in development of technical strategies and teaming strategies in technical domainParticipates in the proposal process, including the development of executable project plans on proposalsEnsures process compliance of all engineering activity in area of responsibilityLeads specific process improvement activitiesDetermines and implements the organizational training needs in accordance with the requirements of the technical domainFrequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and employeesCommunicates regularly with project customer, and suppliers, project team, and internal managementRegular contact with all other personnel in area of responsibilityReceives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goalsProvides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policiesRecommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s)Expected to manage work, set objectives and meet commitments for self and othersDelegates assignments to others for developing solutions\nWorks collaboratively with resources external to the functional or program team\nProvides leadership in defining technology, tool and process strategy across a technical domain\nApplies or develops highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nExceptional interpersonal skills\nExceptional leadership skills\nExceptional organization ability\nExceptional written and verbal communications skills, bridges communication across teams\nStrong ability to think creativelyExceptional ability to multi-task, skilled at executing complex tasksExceptional ability in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions\nExceptional ability to communicate at and with personnel at all levels\nVery Strong ability to understand and apply project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM)Very Strong experience and passion for driving continuous improvement in Engineering process and toolsStrong ability to recruit, manage and retain people\nPassionate about people development and growth\nSalary Note\nThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
