Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems is currently seeking a Traffic Modeling System Engineer for Missile Tracking out of our Scottsdale, AZ location.\nResponsibilities for this Position\nAs a Traffic Modeling System Engineer for Missile Tracking designing Traffic Data Models for the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). You will be part of an elite team providing the evolution, expansion, integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities and infrastructure management, including all development, systems engineering, integration, testing, maintenance, and site support.\nFor more information about the GDMS SDA GMI program, please go to: General Dynamics Awarded Design and Development Contract for Space Development Agency’s Ground, Management and Integration Program - General Dynamics Mission Systems\nKey Responsibilities\nSystems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into modeling of the traffic data flow from a satellite constellation to the ground network\nPre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite services to track missiles\nAnalysis of missile tracking data to validate the traffic model\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nTechnical Skills\nPrefer recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks\nPrefer recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience, end to end packet prioritization and routing, or traffic modeling experience\nBonus Skills You Might Bring\nRecent experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture, and sensor fusion techniques\nRecent experience designing logic, assessing and scheduling satellite services to track missiles\nKnowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment\nExperience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis)\nOur Commitment to You:\nAn exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.\nResearch oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security\nFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)\nWorkplace Options:\nThis position can be a minimum of three days onsite or fully onsite.
