Every day, your skills will directly impact programs that matter.\n We currently have a Program Management opportunity for our International Tactical Communications and Information Systems (TacCIS) Team within GDMS-International.\nThe Program Manager leads the capture, planning, execution, and delivery of a portfolio of complex, cross-functional International programs that drives strategic business outcomes. Acting as the central point of accountability, the Program Manager coordinates resources, manages stakeholder expectations, mitigates risks, and ensures that all program components are aligned with the organization’s goals, budget, and timeline.\nResponsibilities include:\nPlan, monitor, and control the work on programs and maintain overall accountability for the cost, schedule, risk, and profit performance of the assigned portfolio through metrics and techniques.\nEnsure compliance for technical and programmatic requirements within program budgets.\nEnsure all services and products are completed on time and on budget to customer requirements.\nKeep current the Statement of Work, Program Management Plan, and all related program management documents.\nLead program reviews, both internally and with the customer, reporting and providing status of activities on a timely basis.\nAct as a point of escalation and resolution for program issues and roadblocks.\nAnalyze risk (e.g. technical, cost, and schedule), and initiate corrective action.\nLead strategic initiatives to support portfolio growth and longer-term business continuity, including generation of mitigation plans.\nManage the preparation for requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), and basis of estimates\nEnsure a high-level of customer intimacy and satisfaction.\nManage program resources through liaison with engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Product teams.\nProvide leadership and mentorship to program teams.\nInitiate product, service, and process improvements.\n Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required, PMP considered highly desirable.\n10 + years experience in Program Management, ideally in complex technical projects or defence and aerospace, preference for international markets.\nExperience in managing programs according to cost, schedule, and quality commitments.\nComprehensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.\nDesire and capability to interact effectively with customers to influence, negotiate, assure a level of intimacy and satisfaction, and grow the assigned portfolio.\nLeadership skills including interpersonal skills and collaboration.\nStrong writing skills and experience writing program management plans.\nExperience in planning techniques and fiscal management.\nCapability to provide effective briefings to Senior Management both internally as well as externally within our customer base.\nCreative problem solving to contribute to continuous growth and improvement.\nInternational travel will be required with this position.\nIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. You must be eligible to work in Canada.\n The hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000 CAD per annum. This role is eligible for a management incentive plan.
