The successful candidate will drive design development in conformance with company standards and customer specifications. Communication with customers and functional organizations within the company is an important part of this position.\nJob Responsibilities\nTake a proactive approach in partnering with contract sales, component sales, systems, engineering, and project management to provide customers with competitive and accurate proposals.\nDevelop new designs to meet customer or marketing specifications.\nDocument designs using the appropriate format to company and/or customer standards.\nProvide guidance to other departments: manufacturing, engineering, customer service, through the life of the project.\nProcess inbound RFQ’s from the company’s sales team.\nPrepare and issue written quotes to customers.\nEnter orders into CRM for all contract jobs.\nProcess and perform development project testing.\nAccompany sales personnel to conduct field measuring and/or attend customer meetings.\nProvide guidance/status updates to customers and other departments: Engineering, Contract Sales, Sales Representatives of the contracted job.\nFully support the Company’s ISO objectives, GK WAY, policies and procedures.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.\n1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nProficiency in CAD, 3D Solid Modeling or other drawing software desired. (CATIA, Inventor and AutoCAD skills are preferred).\nStrong mechanical design skills with an ability to read and layout mechanical drawings.\nExcellent interpersonal and organizational skills.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nPay/Benefits:\nPay: $70,000 to $80,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
