The Construction Manager role will oversee both new construction and installation projects, ensuring proper coordination and alignment with project goals. They provide direction to contractors and vendors to maintain quality standards during groundwork. Additionally, construction managers collaborate with project manager, engineers, and sales managing estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources. They identify and address recurring construction issues while adhering to legal regulations, building codes, and safety requirements.\n Responsibilities / Duties\nVisit sites regularly during construction - including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress visits, overseeing installation and commissioning, punch walks, and closeouts - and attend status and coordination meetings. \nConduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable, and that tools and equipment are in good working condition. \nMaintain and update statement of work (SOW) and preconstruction documents and meet contract obligations, by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors. \nRespond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions. \nServe as the point of contact, on designated projects, for project management, contractors, and outside vendors. \nCommunicate, monitor, and track change orders onsite, as they develop. \nResponsible for working with project management to keep a project’s performance on track (Scope, Schedule, Cost), specifically analyzing short-and long-term goals. \nRequest and secure current pricing for outside bids to be used within active customer orders. \nRequest and secure pricing for outside bids to be used within the quoting process. \nAssist with development of a roster of suppliers and contractors. \nWhen applicable, attend the “Project with Issues” meeting to serve as the customer’s liaison. \nWhen applicable, attend the “Project with Issues” meeting and work with internal stake holders, to determine root cause designation and lessons learned for the company. \nRespond to inquiries about current contract sales projects within the Company. \nMaintain weekly communication with production, engineering, and sales departments, with updates to ensure proper adherence to established timelines and objectives. \nAssist in developing best practices goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. \nTrack budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. \nThe ability to troubleshoot, resolve problems and make independent decisions, after identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively. \nDocument and report any safety concerns as it relates to the installation and the operation of our equipment. \nCollaborate with the Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering departments. \nComply with the company’s ISO objectives, policies, & procedures. \nThe willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment which can include climbing ladders, crawling under objects, and working in harsh conditions/jobsites. \nTo understand basic business concepts and the ability to respond to customer requests. \nThe willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build technical knowledge. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering, or equivalent experience. \nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in managing new construction and new equipment installations. \nKnowledge of construction methods and technologies. \nPrior experience understanding of metalworking, fabrication, power transmissions, mechanical equipment, electrical control and/or programming a plus. \nUnderstanding of business P&L practices and responsibility. \nBlueprint reading required (AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, etc.) \nReporting to D & V level management. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.? \nExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. \nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility and willingness to travel 70-to-80% of the time. \nMust have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. \nBackground check is a requirement of the hiring process. \nProficiency with MS Office Suite, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. \nBi-lingual abilities a plus. \nOSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus. \nProfessional certification, such as CCM (certified construction manager), AC (associate constructor), or CPC (certified professional constructor), a plus \nJob Type:\nFull-time \n Benefits:\nHealth insurance \nDental insurance \nVision insurance \nPaid time off \n401(k) \nTuition Reimbursement \nPaid time off \nWork Location:\nRemote\nPay: $90,000 to $120,000 paid annually.
