Working Monday through Friday during daytime hours and reporting to the Facilities & Construction Project Manager, you will perform routine janitorial duties, monitor facility conditions, assist with basic maintenance tasks, and make sure facility concerns are communicated and resolved promptly.\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive, takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment, and is comfortable working independently and responding to changing facility needs throughout the day. Success looks like facilities that stay clean and presentable, supplies that are always stocked, minor upkeep handled quickly, and issues flagged before they become larger problems, so the Facilities & Construction Project Manager can focus on larger projects and operational improvements.\nResponsibilities\nDaily Cleaning & Janitorial Services\nClean and maintain offices, common areas, hallways, break rooms, restrooms, and other designated spaces\nSweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces; clean interior glass, doors, and windows as needed\nClean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, break areas, counters, sinks, and frequently touched surfaces\nEmpty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated collection areas\nReplenish restroom supplies, paper products, soap, and other cleaning materials\nRespond promptly to spills, messes, and unexpected cleaning needs, and perform routine deep-cleaning tasks according to established schedules\nFacility Upkeep & Basic Maintenance\nConduct routine walkthroughs to identify cleanliness issues, damaged fixtures, leaks, lighting problems, and other facility concerns\nPerform basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening loose hardware, and assembling furniture, within your training, authorization, and qualifications\nReport plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural, safety, and equipment issues to the Facilities & Construction Project Manager\nHelp maintain organized storage areas, supply rooms, janitorial closets, and workspaces\nAssist with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and preparing spaces for meetings and company events\nKeep entrances, walkways, and common areas clean, clear, and safe\nDaily Facility Support\nFollow a consistent daily cleaning and facility upkeep checklist, and document completed tasks\nRespond to cleaning and upkeep requests assigned by the Facilities & Construction Project Manager, and report completed work and outstanding issues through the company’s designated communication or work order system\nAssist with routine facility inspections and support preparation for visitors, meetings, and inspections\nAssist with deliveries, supply organization, and other reasonable facility-related duties as assigned\nMaintain a professional, courteous, and helpful presence around employees, visitors, and contractors\nSupplies, Equipment & Safety\nMonitor janitorial supplies and notify the manager when materials need to be replenished\nMaintain cleaning equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning tools\nUse cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment according to product instructions and safety procedures\nStore cleaning supplies securely and follow established workplace safety, sanitation, and waste disposal procedures\nPromptly report hazards, spills, damaged equipment, or other conditions that could create a safety risk\nNever undertake electrical, plumbing, construction, or other specialized repairs without appropriate training and authorization\nAccountability & Communication\nArrive on time and consistently complete assigned daily responsibilities\nCommunicate facility issues, supply needs, and maintenance concerns to the Facilities & Construction Project Manager\nTake initiative to address visible cleanliness and upkeep issues without waiting for direction\nMaintain confidentiality and respect employees’ personal belongings, workspaces, and company property\nBasic Qualifications\nStrong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment\nDependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently\nAbility to follow checklists, procedures, and instructions\nBasic knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation procedures, and cleaning equipment\nAbility to identify and report maintenance concerns\nProfessional communication and a positive, service-oriented attitude\nAbility to safely perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nPrevious janitorial, commercial cleaning, custodial, or facility maintenance experience\nExperience in a fast-paced environment requiring a resourceful approach to complete tasks within tight timeframes\nAdditional Requirements\nMonday through Friday, during daytime working hours as established by the company\nOccasional schedule adjustments may be needed to accommodate facility needs or special projects, with appropriate notice where practicable\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nGeneral Matter is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
