Success in this position requires operational rigor, discretion, and a demonstrated ability to maintain compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nReceive, inspect, log, and track inbound and outbound materials in accordance with internal controls and compliance requirements.\nHandle U.S. Government-regulated and sensitive equipment in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.\nMaintain accurate chain-of-custody records, inventory logs, and audit documentation.\nCoordinate with production, engineering, quality, and security teams to support the movement of sensitive materials.\nPrepare packaging and documentation for domestic and international shipments involving regulated equipment.\nEnsure proper storage, access control, and segregation of sensitive materials and equipment.\nSupport internal and external audits related to inventory, compliance, and logistics.\nIdentify process gaps and recommend continuous improvement opportunities within shipping and receiving operations.\nBasic Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience handling sensitive or controlled equipment or materials in a corporate or industrial environment.\nStrong attention to detail with a proven record of accurate documentation and record-keeping.\nExperience with inventory management systems, logs, and tracking tools.\nAbility to follow established procedures and controls with consistency.\nEffective communication skills to coordinate across production, engineering, and operations teams.\nHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nPrior experience with U.S. Government-regulated, export-controlled, or classified materials.\nFamiliarity with packaging and transportation requirements for sensitive or regulated equipment.\nExperience supporting audits related to logistics, inventory, or compliance.\nBackground in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.\nForklift certification or willingness to obtain.\nAdditional Requirements:\nPhysical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted.\nMust be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and/or weekends as needed.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nGeneral Matter is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with General Matter is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.\nCompensation and Benefits \nPay range: $25.00 - 36.00/hour\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
