This role will report into Sr. D&T Manager - Data Stewardship, GDGS team in India and functionally collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise teams. It is an Individual contributor role. We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Data Steward to support the development and governance of data powering agentic AI systems -AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution. This role ensures data quality, integrity, compliance, and usability across the lifecycle of intelligent agents. This role will work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, product teams, and governance stakeholders to maintain trustworthy, well-structured, and ethically managed datasets that drive reliable agent behaviour.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nDefine and implement data quality rules (schema validation, referential integrity, distribution checks, drift detection) using Data Quality tools.\nCollaborate with Data Engineers to define and monitor data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, consistency) essential for high-performing, unbiased AI agents and their tools.\nMonitor dataset health metrics (null ratios, entropy, cardinality, outliers) and set up alerting mechanisms.\nImplement end-to-end data lineage across ingestion → transformation → feature stores → model inputs → agent outputs.\nUse observability tools (Monte Carlo, etc) to trace data dependencies impacting agent decisions\nSupport root cause analysis of agent failures linked to upstream data issues.\nServe as the primary point of contact between AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Legal/Compliance, and Business Process Owners regarding all data-related aspects of Agentic AI solutions.\nMaintain data catalogs and semantic layers (Collibra, Alation, etc)\nEnsure interoperability across structured data and unstructured data.\nEnsure all data practices related to Agentic AI comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), paying close attention to the unique compliance risks of autonomous data use\nEstablish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures uniquely tailored for AI agents, including data collection, usage, sharing, and retention protocols specific to autonomous and multi-agent systems.\nEnforce data access controls, masking, and PII handling in accordance with regulations.\nMaintain audit trails for data used in agent decisions (critical for explainability and compliance).\nDevelop and execute procedures for Annual Attestation for Unstructured Data Management Plans (DMP) and Agentic AI Data Management Plans (ADMPs)\nSupport DMP/ADMP automation initiatives across BQ, Agentic AI, and other applicable areas of data governance\nEstablish audit compliance methodology and communication processes (e.g., all data sources/agents have DMP/ADMP, cataloguing of all AI agents, attestation completion)\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree and 8-10 years of total experience\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nStrong SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing\nExperience with Data Modeling, schema design and data validation frameworks.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Data Governance strategies and processes\nExperience with Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Data Observability, Data versioning, End to End Process mindset, Lineage.\nExposure to Database Technologies (GCP, Cloud, etc)\nExposure to Agile Methodologies (ADO, etc)\nDemonstrated ability to influence and drive change within their domain\nSolid communication and interpersonal skills \nExperience and competence in leading, influencing, coaching and mentoring others \nAttention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and
