The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct leadership of the mechanic and maintenance capability specialists. They are responsible for building maintenance capability at all levels of the platform team. The Maintenance Supervisor works to eliminate losses following a rigorous daily process that is data driven and focused on root cause elimination. The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable to improve the reliability of their systems through leading their team in maintenance foundational systems, technical problem solving and continuous improvement tools.\nThis career-building role offers hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and a strong foundation for continued development. As you build your skills, you’ll have opportunities to grow and explore future career paths throughout the plant.\nThis role will support one of our 3rd shift Maintenance Teams.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nSafety\nLead Food and Human Safety\nCultivate Human Safety Culture that reduces risk to our people and communities by increasing capability to identify and control critical risk.\nCultivate Food Safety Culture that is committed tomanufacturing safefood that is compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.\nPeople Leadership\nManage and direct the work of the maintenance mechanics inclusive of staffing, performance management and onboarding. \nRole model Engaging Leader behaviors\nDevelop and implement strategies to maximize team effectiveness (communication and collaboration).\nProvide clear individual priorities and team goals to deliver platform priorities.\nCultivate a floor centric, positive and supportive team environment to foster employee engagement and retention.\nProcess Leadership and Ownership\nDriving System Utilization (DSU):\nDirectly support the development and execution of the 90 Day action plan.\nDaily Direction Setting (DDS):\nResponsible to lead portions of the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly DDS meetings, including accuracy of performance metrics (defect found/fixed, breakdowns, and indicators of maintenance health). Coach and Support Shift DDS as appropriate.\nMaintenance Foundational Systems:\nAccountable for the overall effectiveness of the maintenance foundational systems for their platform\nAccountable for the Defect Handling (DH) process standard across the platform. Help maintain and improve the documentation of standards and coaches the team through the identification, prioritization, and resolution of defects.\nAccountable for the Breakdown Elimination (BE) process for their platform.\nResponsible to partner with Maintenance Asset Care Leader on MP&S to ensure planning, scheduling, and work assignments are being prioritized correctly to deliver platform results.\nAccountable for the maintenance budget by delivering spring plan Maintenance & Reliability Costs for the Line/Platform (Materials, Services, OT) - Budget Management\nResponsible for the overall effectiveness and execution of Maintenance Shutdowns.\nKnow your Operation, Data, and Technology\nSound understanding of the production system and the product transformation process connected to the equipment on the line.\nDeep understanding of daily management and process ownership interactions across the team (examples: MP&S, DH, CL, CIL, etc.).\nCapable of utilizing Problem-Solving tools and processes\nResponsible for maintaining and utilizing a training/skills matrix to identify skill gaps, develop training plans and track employee progress.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma\n2+ years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience\nDemonstrated leadership and working in a highly collaborative environment\nSuccess in driving results through process and teamwork\nProven success reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting\nDemonstrated technical capability and knowledge of unit operations and machinery (at least one production platform)\nSkilled at communicating between work groups, cross-functional resources, and other members of the plant\nFoundational knowledge of data analysis systems (examples: SAP, Maximo, Manufacturing Analytics, MQIS) and decision making for results\nExperience in maintenance, reliability, and manufacturing\nMust have good understanding and a broad range of experience in the following areas:Materials: metals, plastics, elastomers, composites, coatings, etc.\nFabrication methods: welding, machining, surface treatment, etc.\nEngineering skills: reading prints, measuring, and specifying\nFastening and joining methods and materials\nMechanical, electrical system knowledge\nLubrication principles\n\nCraft worker experience or very strong knowledge of craft duties and capabilities\nPractical knowledge of Maximo and Maintenance Planning & Scheduling\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree(Technical/Science/Engineering/Mechatronicspreferred)\n4+ years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience\nCMRP, MLTI, Eruditio Planning and Scheduling Certification\nADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS\nInternational relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered. \nApplicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.\n\nSALARY RANGE\nThe salary range for this position is:\n$71,300 - $107,000 Annual\n\nAt General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.\nBeyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
