Every other weekend, with potential for up to 4 additional hours before or after your scheduled shift.\nPlant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:\nSupport production packaging and processing operations\nSupport sanitation operations\nParticipate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment\nCreate high-quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE\nUse TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility\nWork with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams excited to train others WILLING TO LEARN\nCHALLENGE yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills for your next opportunity\nDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or other issues with equipment\nPartner with maintenance staff or additional resources to resolve issues\nAddress operational issues in a timely manner and communicate results to team leader\nCoordinate and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment\nFocus on defect identification and breakdown elimination\nRemove and replace motors, starters, belts, bearings, chains, and other manufacturing parts\nEnter Work Orders for any defects you identify\nPerform centerline checks each shift to ensure equipment is running per recommendations\nCalibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications\nParticipate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment\nAssist other packaging machine operators with setup, film changes, and problem solving\nPerform other tasks as needed\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED\nMechanical/maintenance experience\nMachine operator experience\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\nAbility to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces\nAbility to climb and/or work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms\nAbility to wear required protective equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves\nWilling and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary in a food manufacturing environment\nAbility to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and wet environmental conditions\nWilling to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery\nAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in a manufacturing/production environment\n\nELIGIBILITY\nApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.\n\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)\nGeneral Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
