Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing

OVERVIEW

The Manager/Expert, Transfer Pricing, is a senior member of General Mills’ global Tax team. The role combines technical expertise practical business partnership-helping leaders make sound decisions.

You will lead high-impact workstreams, advise senior stakeholders, partner across functions and geographies, and coordinate internal and external teams. The role offers the opportunity to shape transfer pricing strategy and governance while supporting major business changes, transactions, and operating-model decisions.

What you’ll do

• Set direction for assigned transfer pricing activities, including policy, methodology, governance, and operating guardrails.
• Lead transfer pricing analyses for restructurings, supply-chain transformations, intellectual property, financing, services, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
• Own the facts, analysis, recommendations, documentation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring for assigned matters.
• Partner with external advisers on for compliance deliverables-ensuring quality, appropriate scope, and effective use of budget and resources.
• Lead or support transfer pricing audits, advance pricing agreements, and other controversy or dispute-prevention activities.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, communicating complex issues clearly and turning recommendations into action.
• Develop team capability through coaching and mentoring.

• Timely, practical, and defensible outcomes for strategic projects, compliance, audits, and controversies.
• Strong confidence from senior stakeholders in the quality and usefulness of your advice.
• Better consistency, documentation readiness, data quality, process control, and adviser effectiveness globally.
• A capable, engaged team that delivers against shared priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, law, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional credential is a plus.
• Significant transfer pricing experience, with additional international tax, consulting, economics, financial analysis, or related experience valued.
• Strong knowledge of transfer pricing principles, documentation, policy implementation, controversy, financial analysis, and cross-border operating models.
• A track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder matters with meaningful business or tax implications.
• Strong judgment, communication, negotiation, project-management, and influencing skills.
• The ability to deliver results through advisers, matrixed teams, and colleagues across countries and functions.
• An inclusive, collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented leadership style.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA, MBT, LLM) in economics, tax, accounting, finance, or related fields
• Experience in consumer foods industry preferred

• International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

• This is a Minneapolis, MN based role and is not remote eligible.
