Hannibal also offers an on-site fitness center and coach, an on-site credit union, and a culture employees value for its family-friendly events, including a company picnic and annual softball tournament.\nWhat We Have to Offer\n$33.53/hour starting pay\n$36.95 per hour after completion of required training (Level 2)\n$38.55 per hour after completion of required training (Level 3)$1/hour additional pay for 3rd shift \n\nUp to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually (depending on schedule) \n11 paid company holidays \n401(k) with company match \nMedical, dental, life insurance \nCareer growth and cross-training opportunities \nYour Work Schedule and Shift Information\n12-hour rotating shiftsAM: 6:00am - 6:30pm \nPM: 6:00pm - 6:30am \n\nRotating crew pattern: 2-2-3 rotating\nMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed \nPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities-owned equipment, including boilers and steam systems, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, cooling towers, loading docks, wastewater systems and drains, storage-racking systems, and general building systems. \nOperate and troubleshoot supported equipment using sound electrical and mechanical knowledge. \nComplete daily wastewater sampling and monitoring, and check boiler, feedwater, and condensate chemistry once per shift-or more often when needed. \nPerform daily checks on ammonia and boiler systems as required by applicable regulations. \nSupport site-wide alarm systems for fire, severe weather, and ammonia emergencies after training. \nUnderstand and troubleshoot site-security equipment, including gates, key-fob readers, and turnstiles. \nUse maintenance and quality systems to document work, readings, inspections, and required checks. Communicate maintenance issues during shift handoffs and relay unresolved issues to the next shift. \nFollow GMP, HACCP, allergen-control, foreign-material-control, and chemical-control requirements while troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. \nParticipate in safety audits, safety observations, investigations, food-safety inspections, and cross-functional teams such as Yield, Efficiency, and Safety. \nPerform general facilities work, including painting and salting sidewalks and portions of the parking lot during winter weather. \nAssist other plant areas as assigned \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED \n2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education in a related field\nProven ability to use multimeter and other electrical equipment/components\nWorking knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems\nExperience in a manufacturing/production environment\nKnowledge of three-phase electrical systems\nAbility to work rotating 12-hour shifts \nMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English) \nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs \nAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods \nWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions \nAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms \nAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards \nAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required) \nAbility to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nManufacturing or production experience \n\nELIGIBILITY\nApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.\n\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)\nGeneral Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
