This means the successful candidate is expected to report to our office in Markham, ON three times per week, at minimum.\nAbout the Team:\nThe Software Quality Automation team enables safe, high-quality automotive software delivery through providing infrastructure pieces for continuous integration and delivery, automated testing, quality gates, behavior-driven development tooling, software visualization, and coverage analysis.\nWe are a collaborative and innovative full stack DevOps tools team focused on building high-quality tools and platforms that empower developers, testers, and system engineers across the organization. Our work sits at the intersection of software quality assurance, DevOps, and tools development-from designing internal web applications and automation frameworks to creating visualization platforms that simplify complex system interactions.\nHybrid Work\nThis position operates on a hybrid work model, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite a minimum of three times per week\nRole Overview:\nAs a Software Quality Automation Developer, you will be responsible for design and development of internal platforms, tools and automation frameworks that support engineering teams across the organization. You will work on full-stack solutions, from backend services and databases to frontend visualizations - while ensuring quality through test automation, CI/CD integration, and performance monitoring within the organization.\nYou will collaborate with developers, QA testers, System Engineers and DevOps specialists to build tools that improve workflows, increase visibility into complex systems, and drive consistency across platforms. This role requires a good foundation in software quality practices, automation, software development, and cloud-based development environments, along with curiosity and initiative to learn and grow in both tools development and DevOps practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and development of internal full stack tools and frameworks that enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve test automation workflows.\n\nBuild and maintain full-stack applications that support requirement owners, developers and QA teams in validating software quality and accelerating delivery.\n\nCreate solutions that integrate with version control systems, build pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to streamline engineering processes.\n\nCollaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to embed automation, performance monitoring, and IT compliance checks into the software delivery lifecycle.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n\n2+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Development, Quality Assurance, tools development, web application development\n\nExperienced in mainstream computing languages such as Python or C++\n\nFamiliarity with data structures and algorithms\n\nExperienced in frontend development (HTML, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS frameworks) and/or backend development (Node.js, Express, Flask, GraphQL).\n\nFamiliarity with databases (MongoDB, SQL/NoSQL, Postgres, Databricks) and an understanding of how data flows between systems.\n\nFamiliarity with test frameworks such as Robot, Unittest, Selenium, PyTest, CppUTest etc.\n\nStrong problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently.\n\nLegal authorization to work in Canada and ability to travel to the US.\n\nValid Canadian driver’s license.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).\n\nExperience of working with AI solutions and LLMs (RAG, prompt engineering, finetuning, etc.)\n\nFamiliarity of automotive software development or embedded systems.\n\nHigh level of interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a geographically dispersed team.\n\nExposure to BDD frameworks such as Behave, Cucumber, and similar tools, with an understanding of the BDD mindset.\n\nFamiliarity of working on GitHub Actions Workflow, VS code extension development\n\nFamiliarity with CarSim, dSPACE/Control Desk, or similar HIL tools.\n\nCompensation:\nThe salary range for this role is $90,900 to $136,400.
