This includes overseeing all aspects of project implementation, frominitialdesign and development to final production launchat the assembly site. The Group Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This position takes ona high levelof independent decision making and communication as the lead General Assemblymanufacturing engineering persononsite during project installation and startup.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.\n\nDevelop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.\n\nMonitor project progress,identifyand resolve roadblocks, and mitigate risks.\n\nEnsure adherence to engineering standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and successful product launches.\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.\n\nDevelop andmaintainstrong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nMaintain and meet project budgets/forecasts\n\nStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in manufacturing engineering.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)\n\n7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role\n\n3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role\n\nProventrack recordof successful project delivery in a manufacturing environment\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\n\nProficiencyin project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Six Sigma)\n\nExperience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing processes\n\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies\n\nStrong understanding of safety regulations and procedures\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Engineering or Business Administration\n\nExperience in a high-volume manufacturing environment\n\nExperience with robotics and automation\n\nExperience with data analysis and statistical process control (SPC)\n\nWhat Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)\nLeadership and Team Management\n\nProject Management\n\nCommunication and Interpersonal Skills\n\nProblem-Solving and Analytical Skills\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nDecision-Making\n\nCollaboration and Teamwork\n\nResults Orientation\n\nBenefits: GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
