This means the successful candidate is expected to report to St. Catharines Propulsion Plant on a full-time basis.\nJob Overview\nGeneral Motors St. Catharines Propulsion Planis looking for an engineer to join our SW (Sustainable Workplace) Team to deliver facility and plant engineering support and projects from the very small to the very large. You will be a dynamic, committed, results driven professional who work well in a Team environment.\nResponsibilities\nYou will be responsible for daily interface and coordination of all facilities/plant engineering and project related activities for the SW/PE Team to ensure high quality and timely delivery within a 2,300,000 SF 158Ac site. \nMaintain all regulatory and corporate safety requirements ie OHSA, Air Quality, WAH, TSSA, CWB, etc.\nWork with outside agencies to ensure GMCC meets requirement. This could be at the Local, Provincial or Federal Level - Drives successful planning and execution of future projects through GMC NPP process.\nCoordinated Local PS (Performance Standard) committees ie PS3- Falls Hazard Control (WAH), PS16 - Facilities Safety Management, PS17 Fire and Explosion Control. PS13-TS 15 Indoor Air Quality, PS13-TS 16 Process Ventilation Systems.\n4000 Account Champion - coordinate energy meeting, savings and implement.\nproject management - developing project management requirements, plans, cost estimates, tendering process, award and execution. This will be in an extremely complex manufacturing environment to time sensitive schedules.\nresolve conflicts between OBC and Corporate standards.\nResponsible for supporting the workspace transformation projects by actively engaging with the Space Planning team in the change management process. Ensuring issue and resolution of daily tenant needs and longer term projects by pulling in the required resources such as Engineering, Resource Management, Communications, Real Estate, Food and Administration Services.\nResponsible to ensure the Service Provider is meeting our GM Global Safety standards (SCM - Safety Contract Management), including: Speak up for Safety, Global Call to Action, Safety Observation Tours, employee safety concerns, incident investigation, safety module compliance, and sentinel events. \nPassionately communicate the benefit of the operations teams throughout the value streams in manufacturing and non-manufacturing Drive attainment of daily facility operational goals on the campus (enabling consistent facility management, maintenance, energy supply, cleanliness, environmental compliance and material handling initiatives).\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical, or a closely related engineering discipline; equivalent technical education and relevant experience may be considered.\nEight or more years of experience in plant facilities, industrial utilities, building systems, maintenance engineering, construction engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience managing facility projects involving contractors, consultants, suppliers, budgets, schedules, and commissioning.\nWorking knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utility, building, or civil systems sufficient to troubleshoot issues and direct technical work.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment documentation, bills of material, and construction deliverables.\nWorking knowledge of industrial safety practices, including hazard assessment, lockout/tagout, contractor safety, confined-space controls, and safe work permitting.\nCompensation\nThe salary range for this role is $97,800.00 to $146,600.00.
