This role will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.\nWhat You'll Do (Responsibilities):\nApply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to identify and eliminate waste, standardize processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.\nConduct in-depth Process Engineering analyses, including process flow PFMEA, cycle time studies, and bottleneck identification.\nManage existing processes, and develop opportunities to improve uptimes, cycle times, adn throughput, including implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement in a unionized environment.\nPrepare detailed analysis, related to manufacturing processes and projects.\nYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):\n2 years of engineering experience \nExperience working in a manufacturing environment \nBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience \nExperience planning and executing automation \nLean manufacturing experience \nExpertise in Process Engineering techniques, including process optimization and troubleshooting\nExperience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nAbility to work overtime and off shift as needed\nWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):\n2+ years of experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer\nBachelor's degree in Engineering\nExperience working in an automotive manufacturing environment\nExperience executing cobots\nUnderstanding of engine component manufacturing \nGMS experience \n\nGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
