We are looking for energetic engineers to help us deliver high quality test tools and infrastructure to ensure the success of our features.\nAs a Senior Software Developer - Test Framework at GM, you will help to lead a team developing automation solutions that will enable test automation of software across various stages of development and integration. This will include developing automation solutions and enablers that will encompass all systems and subsystems within the vehicle.\nThis exciting position is located in the central hub for developing automation enablers that will transform how GM develops and tests our software. The Senior Software Developer will take input from various customer teams and bring their need for automated testing of software to life. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with different business units all around GM and is terrific for technical and leadership growth!\nOwnautomation features and initiatives based on customer requests with a focus on automotive serial data related needs.\n\nDesignand developpython and robot framework based automation solution scalableat theenterprise level.\n\nRepresent the team in Test Frameworktechnical discussions.\n\nGuide the team on the development ofPython automation libraries that enable efficient and effective testing of the softwarethat integrateinto a global automation ecosystem.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members on best practices and standards.\n\nWork as a technical mentor to deliver the training and guidance requiredto develop a highly capable SW automation development team.\n\nActively participateinteam scrum meetings including backlog refinement, iteration planning, and retrospectives.\n\nFoster and maintaina positive and collaborative work environment while driving process improvement and innovative solutions.\n\nStay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in software automationdomain.\n\nYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)\n5-7+years of experience developing software solutions in popular programming languages, especially Python.\n\nBachelor’sDegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n\nHands-on test automation development expertisewith in-depth knowledge of multiple open-sourceoff-the-shelftools for test automation.\n\nHigh levelof verbal / written communication skillsas well as working effectively with autonomy.\n\nPassing score on applicable technical coding assessment.\n\nWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)\nDeep understanding of vehicle on-board communication, automotive serial data protocols, vehicle electrical architecture and subsystem/features.\n\nStrong experience with developing Agentic AI systems and applications.\n\nAdvanced degree in engineering or management/leadership.\n\nExperience of using and development on open-sourceautomation frameworksuch as Robot.\n\n3+years of experience in design, development and maintenance of automated test tools and test framework solutions.\n\nPreviousexposure to working ina software development teampracticing Agile/Scrum.\n\nAdditional Information:\nThis role may be eligible for relocation benefits.\nGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
