The Autonomous Vehicle Launch teamis responsible forconfiguring, executing, andmonitoringour autonomous driving applications. We develop onboard services that orchestrate on-vehicle activities across distributed computers. Our systems are among the first to start when a vehicle powers on and the last to shut down during power off. Our team interfaces with production vehicles, manufacturing lines, developer environments, cloud services, and more.\nAs an engineer in the AV Launch team,you’lldevelop embedded applications and frameworks that provision, execute, instrument, andmonitorour self-driving stack.You’llcollaborate with other teams to engineer onboard workflows and use cases. The systems you build will be deployed onto vehicles, hardware benches, and simulations. Your efforts will directly influence how other teams design and build the next generation of self-driving software at GM.\nJob Responsibilities\nBuild on-vehicle services that provision, execute, andmonitorautonomous vehicle software in development and production workflows\n\nBuild frameworks to configure self-driving software for a wide variety of simulation environments, hardware platforms, and use cases\n\nDevelop systems and frameworks tomonitorvehicle status and exfiltrate data\n\nCollaborate with colleagues across multiple teams and mentor other developers\n\nDeliver complex projects through incremental development\n\nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in STEM field or relevant work experience\n\n5+ years of experience building and shipping production-quality software, with a focus in Linux-based environments\n\nStrong background in modern C++ and Python development\n\nExperience working with and building tooling for large systems\n\nA high standard and commitment to quality by designing for testability\n\nBonus Points\nTrack recordof developing projects frominitialdesign through customer release\n\nExperience with robotics middleware platforms and related concepts, such as inter-process communication or logging\n\nCompensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.\nThe salary range for this role is $153,200- $234,100.
