Join us in building the future of business analytics platforms at GM.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and evolve a future-ready, enterprise-scale business analytics platform using a proven three-plane architecture with an AI-enabled experience layer for user support and operational intelligence, a metadata and configuration driven control layer, and an IaC and API driven execution layer supporting Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau, while enabling end-to-end automation of user requests through Slack integrations and modern platform engineering practices.\nDesign and develop scalable, secure, and reliable analytics platforms on Azure and AWS, leveraging container technologies for efficient application deployment and management.\nBI platforms administration, management and operations, including data modeling and report authoring best practices using Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos.\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, implement GitOps workflows, and establish CI/CD pipelines for platform components and applications.\nDevelop API integration, data extraction, transformation, and loading to Databricks DB SQL\nImplement comprehensive DevSecOps practices, including regular security audits and vulnerability mitigation.\nEstablish robust observability solutions, implement disaster recovery and high availability designs to ensure platform reliability.\nManage identity and access management, implement security compliance measures including password/token rotations and key vault integration.\nImplement Gateway connections for accessing on-premises sources, optimizing platform performance and cost-efficiency.\nParticipate in on-call rotations, demonstrate customer focus, and drive results in ambiguous project scenarios.\nImplement Policy as Code and Compliance as Code to automate policy enforcement, ensure consistent governance, and compliance with industry standards & regulations.\nInfluence change, naturally accept ownership for project deliverables, explore opportunities to add value to job responsibilities\nSelf-starter with the ability to influence others, working in teams and independently with leaders and stakeholders across many different organizations within Software and Services\nStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done\nYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer science or related field\n7+ years of experience in platform engineering or similar roles\nDeep understanding of at least two of the three platforms - Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos analytics platforms\nStrong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AI solutions built on large language models and agent-based workflows, with practical exposure to enterprise platforms such as Glean, Databricks Genie, and Microsoft Copilot. Proven ability to integrate AI agents with data platforms, security and compliance frameworks, and day to day operational workflows to deliver scalable, reliable, and business focused outcomes\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, container orchestration technologies and cloud operations for business analytics platforms\nStrong expertise in Azure cloud services, particularly Cognos Analytics on ARO, Azure Kubernetes Service, and PBI service on Azure Fabric\nExperience with GitOps workflows and tools (e.g., Terraform, ArgoCD)\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform\nExperience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools, pipelines, and scripting for automation\nHands-on programming skills in Python or Scala for API interaction and data processing\nAbility to work with various data formats (e.g., JSON, YAML)\nStrong SQL skills with the ability to perform advanced DML operations\nFamiliarity with Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem (e.g., DB SQL, Workflows) and database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)\nExperience and knowledge on application and platform performance optimization\nSolid understanding of DevSecOps practices, tools and codifying policies & compliance\nExperience with OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)\nKnowledge of data governance and security best practices\nStrong skills in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)\nExperience with identity and access management in cloud environments\nKnowledge of FinOps principles and cost optimization strategies\nExcellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills\nThis job may be eligible for relocation benefits.\nCompensation: \nThe expected base compensation for this role is: $119,200 - $175,450.
