You will utilize the Sub-System test bench environment to ensure that critical and complex features are properly developed and integrated into GM vehicles throughout major vehicle development milestones. The individual will develop a strong technical capability, a deep understanding of the SW integration process, solid program/time management skills, and will have many opportunities for multi-functional interaction with design, systems, suppliers, and back-office teams.\nWhat You'll Do:\nThis position will play a critical role in ensuring that SW launches are On-Time and with Quality. The core responsibilities are detailed below:\nDevelop & Execute test plans and procedures on sub-system benches\nAuthor automation test scripts\nBuild, maintain and manage test environments (Benches) needed for manual and automated runs. \nTriage system level nonconformities to the appropriate offending module or back-office system by acquiring and analyzing data logs\nDocument all anomalies using company standard issue tracking tools\nFollow issue resolution from issue origination thru verification, closure, and monitoring.\nYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field\n2+ years of professional experience within software quality\nUnderstanding of automotive serial data protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc).\nAbility to manage multiple project assignments and switch between tasks as timing and resources dictate.\nSoftware QA, triage, and log analysis\nPossess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate test vehicles\nWhat Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills):\nMaster's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field\n5+ years of professional experience within software quality\nExperience with End-to-End testing of Over the Air Reflash feature\nExperience with vehicle electrical systems and data busses (i.e. CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet)\nTest scripting (python, or similar)\nExperience with automotive tools (Vehicle Spy, Canoe, Mocha, etc)\nExperience with hardware and software requirements documentation\nKnowledge of Vehicle Development Process \nFamiliarity working with software quality testing automation and advanced automation tools. \nPossess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate test vehicles\nBenefits:\nGM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
