We are seeking an experienced Full StackSenior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end web applications.\nThe Role\nThe position is responsible for developing and testing web applications using repeatable industry best practices and in accordance with GM's software development project methodology. The Software Developer will work hands-on designing and writing code based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Developers will specialize in web development software packaging and coding languages.\nDevelopment activities will include updating existing software and/or developing new web applications to address a specific customer need or to solve a particular business problem. This role will contribute to all development activities including design, coding, testing, certification, documentation and deployment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and develop scalable web and applications using modern front-endand back-end technologies and cloud infrastructure.\n\nDesign and develop robust system infrastructure and database solutions.\n\nEvaluate architectural trade-offs and apply synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.\n\nWrite clean, efficient, unit-tested and well-documented code for both client-side and server-side components.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and deliver high-quality software solutions.\n\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.\n\nEnsure application security, data protection, and code quality standards are met.\n\nSoftware testing and quality assurance.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.\n\nStay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.\n\nLead small-to-medium scale projects, ensuring alignment with business and engineering goals.\n\nWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field\n\n7+ years of professional software development experience as a Full StackEngineer\n\nProficiency in front-endtechnologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ReactNative, and Angular\n\nStrong knowledge of back-end languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, Hibernate, JPA, and SQL\n\nExperience working with multi-tier production software systems utilizing HTTP APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and backend datastores (PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB, Redis)\n\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices\n\nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)\n\nKnowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)\n\nFamiliarity with Observability tools like Heap and/or Datadog\n\nFamiliarity with microservices architecture\n\nUnderstanding of RESTful API design and implementation\n\nExperience with Agile development methodologies\n\nDemonstrated ability to understand the tech stack, debug code and tests\n\nPeople Skills:\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment\n\n#LI-CK1\nGm does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
