The Engineer II assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.\nJOB DUTIES:\nPerforms engineering calculations, investigations and tasks as assigned.\nResponsible for project management, communicating requirements, establishing timelines and coordinating activities with customer requirements for orders.\nCollaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.\nPrepares reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.\nDesigns, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills and training.\nRecommends and designs components and systems of components working together to meet customer specifications for size, layout and performance.\nUtilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, general-arrangement and production layout drawings, load calculations, stress analysis, and/or fabrication/shop drawings to assist with defining problems and completing engineering projects.\nEnsures that processes and environmental conditions comply with local and national regulatory agencies and the organization’s safety standards.\nMay provide technical writing and functional explanations of how components work and are integrated into industrial machinery.\nMay help improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity and set up production schedules.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nTypically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and two (2) to five (5) years of related experience.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:\nWorks as a key member of cross functional teams & must display a can-do attitude that sets an example for others.\nProficient use of CAD software and Microsoft Office suite software.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong mechanical and math skills and ability to formulate ideas and create design solutions for internal and external customer needs.\nStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\nField experience is a plus\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nMay require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer’s location.\nCOMPANY INFORMATION:\nMotion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition, reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.\nPlease keep in mind that this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
