Responsible for more junior engineers following best practices.\nYou must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.\nJOB DUTIES\nImpacts multiple areas of development, functions, or processes and influences policies and guidelines in their area.\nWorks with multiple applications; will lead projects and be accountable for the successful technical implementation of business software applications.\nManages critical projects, customer engagements or business processes and advises junior team members.\nDevelops complex software applications based on approved design.\nDevelops innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improves business performance and contributes to corporate goals and strategic intent.\nCorrects system problems as directed by manager.\nEnsures projects are delivered on time and according to specifications.\nWorks as part of a team for most projects.\nMentors junior developers with code reviews, design reviews and unit test plan reviews.\nRepresents IT as the principal technical contact and often performs technical project leadership roles.\nIdentifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements and communicates them to other departments/areas to drive efficiency and customer service levels.\nForecasts, models and utilizes advanced analytical tools.\nOffers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and applications, and exerts significant latitude in determining the objectives of an assignment.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nTypically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES\nApplies a comprehensive knowledge of application programming and design to analyze and isolate issues.\nStrong leadership skills.\nExperienced understanding and application of client/server network.\nApplies knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems.\nAdvanced understanding of how technology decisions relate to business needs.\nTypically requires experience with structured application development and change control methodologies.\nThorough understanding of key business drivers and ability to communicate and translate those needs to technical solutions.\nTypically requires experience with object oriented analysis and design.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThis position may require working the evening shift (5pm to 2am) and will vary based on certain times of the year to support a new client.\nLICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: None required.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No Supervisory Responsibility\nBUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: No\nCOMPANY INFORMATION:\nMotion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.\nNot the right fit?
